The School

The Calcutta Anglo Gujarati School is an ISO 9001-2015 certified non-commercial institution catering to the needs of all classes of children in Kolkata. It was established in the year 1893 by a great philanthropist and educationist Shri Tribhovandas Hirachand Kothari, popularly known as “Tribhovan Bapa.”

The school provides a host of facilities and co-curricular activities for students to participate in and develop their soft skills and hard skills like leadership, public speaking, athletics, craft work etc., through various competitions. Also, the school has its own scout and guide groups.

Group discussions and quiz competitions are held every week to test the knowledge of our students and enhance their communication skills. The school is well equipped with modern amenities, including an air condition Computer Lab and Assembly Hall. A new step towards modern education is the introduction of  ‘Smart Class’ .

The school provides complete support and facilities to all its students irrespective of their economic background. Every year, the institution achieves excellent results in Madhyamik Pariksha and Higher Secondary Examinations. The outstanding students are awarded with scholarships, cheques, and even laptops.

All the core activities of the organisation will be carried out according to documented information to fulfill the learners’ and the legislative’s requirements. The school will ensure that the needs of learners, staff and other interested parties are met.

We believe in promoting quality culture at our school, and therefore involve all our human resources in decision making and delegation of quality management function as per their skill and competency level.

Corrective action will be taken on locating non-conformity of QMS to ensure continual improvement of organization policy and procedure. The management is fully committed to the quality system.
